Gardening still life

This is one I did just before I left, my parents got me to do it for my aunty's wedding present. I hadn't done any still life drawing in ages and I wasn't sure how the oil pastel would work on canvas but it turned out pretty good!

Life Drawing

Went to the City Life Drawing in the Grand Social last night. This is what I drawed.
I was happy with most of them for a change, normally life drawing can be pretty throwaway stuff. Still can't draw feet properly though!

Wolfhound

I hadn't actually done any drawing in a good while so I drew a wolfhound for my dad's birthday, we used to have one a few years ago. I liked the way the hair was blowing out of his eye and across his face in the original photo.

D.o.G. R.i.P.

This is the sisterpiece to dogface. I got commissioned to do a portrait of a friend's dog who had died. Then they got me to do one of their new dog, maybe so he wouldn't get jealous.

Ben

My friend commissioned me to do a drawing of her new nephew and his dad as a present from her for his christening. Probably the best drawing I ever drawed!

dogface

This is a commission I did for a friend of mine of their dog. I did the drawing in 3 stages over the course of 3 evenings, I usually start with the eyes and work out from there. This is after the second evening but I actually like it more than the finished version.
